Chimes 20-30 times in a row!

Sligh clock chimes too often
Recently my clock has been acting goofy around 9-10 o'clock. It chimes repeatedly around these hours and its driving me crazy. What could be causing this? Also, I have clock set to silent at night but it still chimes away.
