Update on clock/key request
by: Sam

In the week since I got this clock, I have found out some things. First, the key. I was told to try finding a key at Ace hardware... but they don't carry the cabinet barrel keys anymore... I was told. Then I went to a favorite antique mall and found that a dealer sold keys in his hardware booth, which I had never even noticed before. So I bought about four keys and none of them worked. (About four dollars each.) The winding key I bought did fit perfectly. (Seven dollars.) So, I was kind of put off buying any more keys to try. And then while looking through a box of old lamp parts I found a barrel key, and wouldn't you know it, it worked. It opens and locks the door. When it locks the door the key locks in the lock you can't remove it. When you unlock the door, the key comes out of the keyhole? Is this the normal way it works. ? Anyway I took a picture of the key to post on here. How do I post this picture.?

On and here is the big disappointment, I did not find the pendulum or the weights I thought were suppose to be in the bottom of the clock cabinet. So, big new problem. I have no idea how to find those. But the clock is pretty to look at.
