Herschede 217 hall clock

by Sam
(Royal Oak,Michigan)

I own a Herschede 217, it is one of the finest clock companies in the world. I take great pride in owning a Herschede, they truly are the Cadillac's of clocks.

Just remember when you have this particular kind of clock that it will be more money on fixing them, they very seldom stop running, I have one that is 40 years old and just now seams to be in need of a overhaul.

It will cost 800.00 to rebuild the movement and that is on the cheap side . I had one person want 1400.00 to do the same work without ultrasonic cleaning it.

Make sure it you decide to own a Herschede you take that into account on the price it would be to fix them. They are a heirloom that you will treasure for a life time, they are the best of the best.

There are know short cut at Herschede, they are all hand made to last , and they are the best Grandfather clocks in the world.
