Moving the clock, no original packing, what should I do?

Neil

Hi Neil

When you plan to move your clock, you should remove the pendulum and all the weights.

But before you remove the weights, it is best to label them to remember where to place them.

Pack the weights and pendulum well, thus avoiding any damage.

Wind up the cable movements all the way and insert styrofoam blocks.
Then you can remove the weights.

If your clock has a chain movement make sure that you use wire to fasten them.
Otherwise they could come off the wheels and cause damage.

Chain ends should be packed for example in bubble wrap.

Make sure that the corners and glass doors of the clock case are protected from damage.
