Need help and ideas for the Moon Phase

Need help and ideas for the Moon Phase

Need help and ideas for the Moon Phase

Hello ...

I finally got my grandfather clock re-finished and the movement overhauled. It runs good but in the process, I learned that the movement is not original to the clock.

The original clock was made in Wales around the mid 1800's and the movement in there now does not offer a mechanisim for the moon dial to run.

There is however, a little arm still attached on the dial that seems to have been part of the mechanisim to move the moon dial.

If anyone has suggestions or ideas on what I could do to get that moonphase to work, I am interested in hearing from you.

I would even consider an electric motor or something.
