Thos. Wainwright Ashbourne

by Pat Wiliams
(Australia)

I recently inherited a small longcase clock from my Aunt in Enland.
It is just under 6 ft tall. In June I was in England and brought it back to Australia where I am trying to renovate it.

It has a brass face and painted "Moon wheel".

The hood is carved wood and very ornate with a brass ball and eagle on top. The wood looks like cedar but could be mahogany. The mechanism has two lead weights, a pendulum, and cable drums. I have it working now.

The name Thos.Wainwright Ashbourne is cast into the top of the dial.

Can anyone help me with information about the maker and the age of the clock.
