Howard Miller Grandfather Clock Research

I purchased a Howard Miller Grandfather clock that I have been trying to identify.

The model number is 610-548.

I cannot seem to find this particular model number anywhere.

There is also 776 after the model number.

Not sure if that is significant.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Clock stopped NEW

Ours had stopping problems too. A couple years ago I bought some clock oil on line. It has worked flawlessly since I oiled it. Keeps great time!

Howard Miller Monroe 610-548
by: GISGuy

I just purchased this grandfather clock from a moving sale for $300. It runs for an hour then stops, guess it is in need of a cleaning and oiling which is happening next Saturday for $85. I'm hoping this was a good purchase. E-mailed Howard Miller and they sent me a picture of this clock from their catalog which listed the specs, my clock was made in 1993 and was part of their Shadow Collection. Other details listed were finished in Windsor Cherry, split high arch pediment with turned finial and bookmatched cherry, midnight blue moon phase, lower glass door features crystal-cut grooved and curved design with diamond accents, cable driven, Westminster chime movement. Dimensions H 81" W 20.25" d 13". A very beautiful clock.

610-546 [545 ?]
by: Larry in Indiana

If you haven't e-mailed Howard Miller Service, do so. We purchased the same model clock, used. It is in excellent shape, cabinet is perfect; keeps excellent time.
We have tried researching our clock; also. It was in the HM 1990-1991 cataloge. Ours is light Oak with the Bonnet Top / Moon Dial / silencer and says 65th Anniversary. All our numbers match up with yours including 776#.
We do not know just what "65th Anniv." means or how it is derived. But checking with HM we were told that the Model# may have been mismarked and should be 610-545 due to it being a "Bonnet" Top.
We too, would like more information on our clock. This clock really out shines our old Grandfather Clock.

HM 610-546
by: deb & Larry

we purchased the same clock used and have been searching for information. ours is Oak with a Bonnet top, 65th Annv. model [not sure just what 65th Annaversary means], cable driven; etc. We have been told that the clock may be mis numbered and should be 610-545. It's a 1991 model year. It runs great and keeps perfect time. The cabinet has no dings or marks.
The manual can be down loaded directly from Howard Miller.
It is light years better than our old Grandfather Clock. But we would like additional information on it. Especially the designation of "65th Annav."
