1976 Howard Miller grandfather clock

I just received a 1976 Howard Miller clock from my uncle and was just trying to get some history on it.


It has gold placards that say this clock is presented to the Roberts.

I can post pics tommorow when i pick it up.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

My new husband bought a special edition 1976 bi-centennial Howard Miller grandfather clock. See post on #610172 for description. I have not, so far been able find that serial # info. But what I can tell you that in 1976 he paid around $2500, which I felt was a lot of money in those days. (FYI) I made less than $500 a month as a teacher at that time. My husband bought it for me, being a young bride. I have always loved the clock. Hope you cherish yours and care for it for future ones to enjoy also!
