I have just gotten clock from an estate and raised the weights too high.

In fact too high for the clock to run and too high to be able to remove.

What to I do to get he weights off and hopefully start the clock running again?

Ridin' Dirty NEW

There is no such thing as raising the weight too high. Your clock needs to be cleaned.

If it stops until you apply more weight to the weights... then its dirty and needs an overhaul. Running it dirty can ruin the movement permanently.

Get it cleaned by a clockmaker.
